I built and launched a new project last summer - http://kernest.com - it's a directory and delivery service for web fonts. Rather than feeling limited to Arial, Times, etc - Kernest's repository has 800 fonts ready to use - straight CSS.

As I was working through the technology for Kernest last year - it struck me how similar it is to podcasting: like mp3s - font files aren't indexed by search engines, both fonts & mp3 have all sorts of licensing issues to navigate, and there's a small and passionate community that knows the joy and value these assets provide.
