Hey everyone, here is what I'm trying to do with iMovie until I am able to get Adobe Premier, and maybe someone can help.
I have a few videos I am trying to turn in to vidcast, ranging from 10 min, to 45+ min. I have the video, and imported audio and a few cuts in the audio to make audio/video line up correctly.
I have tried to export it on both on my G4 1.4ghz 1 gig of ram laptop, and on my brand new macmini (fully loaded, 2gig of ram, 1.83ghz. On both, it looks to be going smoothly, until the halfway point, and this begins the problem. It starts to sit there with the spinning beach ball, it might attempt to process everything a little more, and it stops.
I've tried to export it as a QuickTime movie and an iPod movie( I may have tried something else too, but don't remember), but it won't work. The error message I see is something along the lines of: QuickTime does not have the correct capabilities to finish this process, error message 0, or -36 (I'm going off memory). I've even tried making multiple breaks in the video and audio to see if that will change, but i get the same thing.
This happened on both computers, and I don't know what I'm not doing right, or wrong for that matter. I should be getting Premier either today, or the end of the month, but I don't think I should have a problem exporting.
Has anyone had this problem, or should I just wait until I get premier?
thanks for any help received!
